For anyone planning to lean heavily on extended high-resolution video recording specifically, test your actual conditions carefully first, since the heat management issue is real enough to affect a genuine subset of potential buyers rather than being a rare edge case.

A Direct Test Against My Old R5

Shooting a portion of the same tournament with my previous R5 body as a direct comparison, the autofocus difference was the most immediately obvious upgrade, tracking players through screens and momentary occlusions that would have caused my older body to hunt or lose lock entirely.
